Finally an update from you. I have been waiting for this chapter for so long. Your writing style draws me in from start to finish and I have to read this even though I'm so tired that I could fall sleep on the chair and typing this message.

Please, if possible, do a side story of AxA. I don't care much for them in the canon but you made me really feel for akihito. You really kept Asami's character but I really like to see how their relationship would go in the future. (Personally, I'm hoping for a happy future for AxA).

Fedora is someone very commendable. I love the last part from fedora's POV, which I agree with. She may not have Mikhail's love but something they share between them is very rare and precious.

Can't wait to read the next chapter. Don't stop writing :) You're one of the best fanfic writers I've seen online.

Lol *high five* I know what you mean about long-haired characters. I love long-haired characters, they are my guilty pleasure: few of my fav are katsura from gintama, itachi from naruto etc.

I don't usually care for AxA but they way you write them is just so realistic that I would love to see where you take them.

Ah YES! I was really excited about Fei but I truly don't mind that he isn't in this chapter. The way you managed to pull off the interaction between these characters is incredibly amazing and was really exciting

I know I'm a hopeless Fei fan and this is a Fei-centric fic. And I still don't understand Asami's intentions in the past... Honestly if he had only wanted friendship or camaraderie (as YA Sensei said) he simply shouldn't have caressed Fei's hair and shouldn't have kissed him just like a lover. This confused Fei and I think the readers too...

I tweeted her about this very thing early this morning. I came into VF later after NT had finished so I missed all the discussions in the comms, but is that what he really wanted? I really doubt that personally. To me, he wanted someone he could control but emotions got in the way, hence why (to me) he doesn't like getting involved with Fei b/c he represents that one time he allowed his emotions to cloud his judgement. I don't count Aki b/c he still has more control over that situation than he ever does with Fei.

You're right. Asami has complete control over Aki in the way that he can do what he wants with Aki without ever having Aki changes his mind. Asami never loses control of his emotions with Aki except when he was taken, and that is partly because t's Fei that has taken him. If it were anyone else, I don't think he would be as pissed. It is partly his past coming back to bite him and that frustrates Asami. One failure just won't go away no matter how much he has tried to put it behind him,and why? Because it happens to be Fei's life he fucked up, and Fei, people, is someone you don't want to mess with LOL Alexis was right, again, that the things Asami does with Aki, Fei would tear him to shreds if he even tries. I think Asami sees Fei at first as a beautiful piece of art one can't help but admire or touch, but Fei is demanding and carries with him an epic piece of baggage that is a no no NO NO for Asami and that was the end of all attractions. Even though my preference falls to Asami/Akihito, I've been reading your story because it's well written and has a fairly interesting plot. I knew you were not fond of Asami/Akihito, but you seemed to want to attempt to write their relationship as part of this story and I thought it would be interesting to see them from someone who wasn't a fan. Up until now, I thought you treated the situation respectfully, even though where you're obviously heading doesn't appeal to me.

I really do hate to see bashing comments like "road-to-failure" relationship, though. I realize this fic isn't meant for me, but it's still disappointing. It makes me not want to continue reading. I know some Feilong fans have disdain for the Asami and Akihito pairing, but it's a little disappointing to see it so blatantly on a fic linked from the communities that support all VF characters and pairings.

First, thank you for stopping by and let me know how you feel. I am not an AxA fan at all, this I admit with honesty. But I think you may have misunderstood my message- though I admit it can be misleading and I am going to fix that now. My road-to-failure comment is not bashing IMO. It means just that - that the way I see them in the manga, they are going nowhere but down. Why? Because there are so many things wrong in their relationship that has never been touched which will only lead to disaster of epic proportions in the end for them. I see AxA as a very dysfunctional couple that if they keep going like there's nothing wrong with Aki being treated like a Toy, and Asami keeping him out of everything, when they already live together, the shit is going to blow sooner or later. And the problem is very few people see it and feel they have a great relationship, which bugs me. That is why I had to write them and get it out of my system even though a lot of Fei fans here want to kill me, because this is the last remaining Fei centric fic

Thank you for the reply. I only saw it now, so I apologize for the delay in responding. You definitely do not need to apologize for writing a pairing you're not fond of or for your portrayal of them in your fic. You don't need to apologize for your opinion of them in the manga or in general. It was just the comment that I mentioned that bothered me. It threw me out of your story, I suppose, because it made me feel that icky feeling I get when people start bashing in public other people's likes. I don't like to see it on either side of the fence
