A new site launched for Obsidian

Feb 19, 2018 14:05

Since I have some people in real life who might disown me after knowing what I have been writing but would like to read my more acceptable work (such boring people, yes), I have decided to create a site just for Obsidian at wordpress where updates, PDF downloads, artworks, and information will be stored. I'd love to see you guys over there ( Read more... )

But won't your boring, homophobic relatives be able to find you here anyway? :D All it takes is a Google search! If you want to hide, your best bet is deleting everything from the fanfiction accounts, locking down the journal and making a new one under a new name.

Personally, I'd never let RL people that close to my pen name and work. They are awful, evil and destructive. I'd have to move out of the country and start elsewhere.

Lol True but TBH I don't really care that much if they really do find out although I doubt anyone would even care enough to read what I write seeing how they don't even read anything but the news and self-help books. And the ones that do read anything less boring would roll eyes and find fantasy too below them to read. I told you, my relatives are boring. This is just for mom actually. She's been wanting to read my stories and I can't really let her read CI so I also wanted to write something more serious for her (and perhaps for my kids in the future). So I thought I should create something that's a bit distant from CI where it's not as easy as clicking on the author's name and voila, all my NC 17 one shots come up XD I'm pretty sure no one would go that far as to Google and even if they do I don't see them enough for them to ruin my life. That said once Annie is world famous or something I'd probably have to lock all this down or delete it all together 😅

LOLOLOL, my luck is that nobody in my RL circles reads either! :D I haven't been nearly as careful over the years as I should have been and too many people know my IRL identity. Oh, well. :D

My mother too has been expressing desires to read my writing. Going on and on and on about how am I really going to let her die without seeing it?

Yes, why, yes I am! That't the price you pay for being judgemental, unsupportive and homophobic. I'm afraid I don't love her enough to write something just for her benefit, like you do. I don't even feel bad about it.

I see Tumblr is being mentioned. It is a fun place, much better than Twitter, IMO. But I find it very messy. Better for images than for fics. But then again, I only started using it recently, to stalk the people im my new fandom, and bless them, they are obsessed! The show ended years ago and they are still ranting about it, hating on the creators, making content and stalking the actors! It's the best thing that I've been a part of since Feilong! <3

XD Yeah, my situation is kind of like that. I pretty much live in a cave (and on the golf course these days). Even though I have relatives, I make a point of not seeing them more than once a year (or once every two years lol) so they pretty much have forgotten I exist. Plus since the only people I care about already know, namely Ray and my immediate family who are too afraid to be corrupted by what I write and therefore refuse to read, I don't have to hide much at all. Still, I figure there should be a more discreet way to not advertise I write hard yaoi too XDDD Our society is so funny, isn't it? We're proud to have kids but not so proud to admit we had sex which is how kids are produced LOL

My mother too has been expressing desires to read my writing. Going on and on and on about how am I really going to let her die without seeing it?LOL mine has attempted to reach my childhood friend in another continent to obtain my first piece of shit writing that I wrote for her when I was about 12 so I thought I should give her something ( ... )

It's the first time I intervene here. The website for your original story looks wonderful. ^^ To be honest, I have different accounts and sites to separate what I write as a RL author, and the world of fanfics. I found tumblr sites really easy to use (in case you might be interested in creating one). Kisses. :)

Please feel free to intervene! I've never used tumblr but have heard a lot about it. I'll have a look and give it some time to learn my ways around it. Thank you so much for the suggestion. I haven't really given too much thought about discretion because so far people in RL that surrounds me don't read fiction (or care about what I do.) But I may have to eventually. Any tips and ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Oh, well, the members of my family love reading. To be honest, I once wrote something to dedicate to my mother and my stepfather (something that got published after I made it partecipate in writing contest). It made them really proud, but I decided from the start to make something morally "acceptable" because they are very religious people *0*. I prefer writing f/f romantic stuff, something that really surprised me since I never considered myself as a lesbian (more on the bisexual side). Writing allowed me to understand my feelings better.
