I finally sucked it up and got internet at my new apartment - so now I have less excuses to not post.  I have a full time job, a new place to live, and I'm finally starting to feel like being "settled" is not too far off.  It's a nice feeling and one I haven't had in far too long

Yep, I'm still in NY - I got a job at the museum where I've been working since the summer

That was going to be my next question... what job did you get?

So, you see yourself staying put for a while then? Glad you're settling in and starting to nuzzle into "life". :o)

I do see myself here for awhile - I'm getting lots of great experience and I know plenty of people, so I'm not totally starting over in a new city. The biggest downside is the distance from MN...but for awhile, it's a great place to be!

My new job title is "Interpretive Projects Coordinator" - which means that I'm working on a whole bunch of projects, including helping get a historic house furnished and open to the public, coordinating a program to bring in more volunteers to run activities, and working on an interpretive planning process for the whole museum (basically that means figuring out what's most important about the museum and all the buildings and deciding how we want to interpret them to the public). Eventually I'll also be working on more projects, which will potentially include supervising staff and working on exhibit stuff, depending on how things fall.
