Tarot Art Contest Voting

Dec 21, 2010 17:24

Greetings, KakaSaku fans! On this Winter Solstice it is finally time to divine the winner of the Tarot Art Contest! But such a thing is not left merely up to fate; YOU, the humble voter, may participate in deciding the winner! In fact, this contest will be decided on the sole basis of popular vote.

You may vote for as many entries as you choose! However, in the event of a tie, a tie-breaker poll will be held, and you will only be able to vote for one entry if it reaches that point. In theory such a process will continue until winners are decided for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place!

Even though this contest is decided by popular vote only and no judging, it doesn't mean that you shouldn't weigh your vote carefully before choosing which entry or entries you vote for. Please keep the following things in mind when voting:

- Did the artist incorporate themes, symbols, and significance from the original card? For more information on tarot card meanings, read here!
- How high quality was the artistic presentation? That is, how artistically skilled?
- Naturally there will be a subjective angle to this-- which one is most aesthetically appealing to you?

And for anyone who signed up but never got a chance to submit, we'd still welcome your artwork if/when you finish it-- it'll just be exempt from the competition, but art is art, and we'd love to see it!

The poll will be open for one week and will close on Wednesday, December 29. HAPPY VOTING!
