Let me know what you think of this. It's a little late to change anything, and I think like 2 people even use this shit anymore, but it's far too large for facebook. I mostly just want to know if I am way off base here, and I forgot the password to my other journal that I made specifically for this stuff.

if you're going to talk that much about aristotle, then why not give his definition of tragedy, instead of the oxford english dictionary's?

The stuff about Aristotle applies specifically to Sophocles, as there is no way he could have experienced Hamlet, Prince of Denmark.

Also, I am writing to a specific audience(an ancient literature professor) that certainly knows the definition of tragedy by aristotle(which is not that much different from the OEDs), but may not know that of the OED.

Also also, I think it is cool to use the OED and the Poetics as sources in a literature paper.
