The weather outside is...oh wait!
So...livejournal? How's it going? Everyone ready for the holidays and started your shopping yet? I have a couple of people left to do, and I have this "tradition" where I set aside one day where I head out to the mall right when it opens, get my gifts and be out of there before lunchtime and the huge crowd starts. On the Wallyworld front...it's still Wally! But one thing I've noticed as compared to Christmas shopping the past, the crowds just aren't as large. I've remembered times where it honestly looked like a thousand or more customers passed in and out of the store, this year, it's been shaved down to half that amount. But then economists predict that people will be much more frugal when it comes to their holiday spending...and yet they say the recession is over. So for me, I'm just trying to enjoy the relative quiet and not deck someone. On a happier note, I have a little something to share with you all!
BEHOLD...THE EPIC BUSINESS CARD OF EPICNESSS!!!!! For those of you who don't attend anime or comic conventions, it is not uncommon to enter into the dealers' room or artist alley, and end up with a small collection of cards from people who want your patronage. Since I want to sell my humble prints, I have to do the same! I went with this one online printing service that was suggested by the lovely finnimon. You know, just by having a business card design in the works, I feel this since of being..."legit" as an artist. It's great :D! I swear over the summer I'll draw something brighter with characters that are not frowning!
Next, is it just me or are a lot of people migrating to tumblr all of a sudden? It was one thing when it was just deviantArt people posting their works in progress and finished artwork, but so many other friends and coworkers are all telling me that there on tumblr now. What's up with that(imagine my best Jerry Seinfeld impression)?
