The other day, I received two Greenlandic CDs... and I have yet to hear them. One is a Julie Berthelsen CD Single "Kalaallit Nunaat Pillugu" and a full length album by Tupaarnaq, entitled "Illit". I doubt I'll like the music, but the fact that they are in Greenlandic is really awesome.

How does one say "Learn Belorussian" in Belorussian?

I'm assuming that you've run across the web page for the Greenlandic rock band Taaq, but since I don't see it in the links I thought I'd post it... and for the benefit of anyone who's interested! No, I don't know what Taaq sounds like-- it's strictly the Greenland connection that interests me.

I've heard of them before, but I don't know if they're good or not. I'd recommend Siissisoq, but they're a little more along the lines of grunge/metal. Some of their riffs are good, but I don't think that they're anything great.

I'll definitely go check out that web site... anything related to Greenland's pop culture and media is of interest to me. Maybe I might like Siissisoq, but grunge/metal (or any kind of modern rock, really) isn't my cuppa. I'm an oldies and electronica person... not trying to start a fight, just expressing my bad taste. :)
