Here are some pictures from Tuppaarnaq's Summer Tour. For those of you who don't know who she is, she's a former member of the group Zedna (Julie Berthelsen used to be in it as well.) I prefer her music over Julie's, mainly because her songs are more influenced by rock and traditional Greenlandic music, as opposed to pop.

again it's great that u are creating kalaallit nunaat.
i like tupaarnaq too, but julie is very very important for greenland (at least most of greenlanders think like that) because she's representing greenland for other countries-she shows the world how hard she can work, because mostly danish people had seen us as the people who cannot work hard and are useless in the old days (mostly 70-80's)
and i've heard some rumours about tupaarnaq that she is a snob... and i saw a tv-program with julie on it and she said that it is very important to be good to people and say hi to her fans and be friendly. it shows that she is a very positive musician and doesn't think about fame... well i choose julie :)
i write this so everyone can see a perspective from a greenlander :o)

Don't get me wrong-I think Julie is great! I just prefer her music. They both show the world that Greenland isn't just some deserted island with maybe a few eskimoes here and there... because we all know that's farther from the truth!

I really, really want to go to Greenland. I've always been very fascinated by Greenland and the people who live there.
Is it hard to find work there?

I wish I had the money to just pack my camera and leave Denmark for Greenland for a year or so. :)

I really hate the stereotypical view Danes have on Greenlanders. :/
My friend Vikki is half Greenlandish, and she was so hurt when she proudly asked her boyfriend if he wanted to go to a Greenlander meetup in Tivoli, and he just laughed at her! What a jerk!
