Ever since Jessie + Courtney came over with their Nintendo DS and new Super Mario Bros game for it and I went nuts over the thing and played it the whole time they were here, Alex has sworn up and down that he was going to buy one for me the first chance he got

if you get a DS wifi USB connector for your computer, you can play games against people over the internet..and if you have wireless internet in your house, you dont even need the adapter. this way I can PWN you at Mario Kart ;) Me, Kari and Melissa all have a DS each =)

for each game that has multiplayer, they have an option, usually one is to connect to another DS, which would be like 50 feet or less away from you, the other is to connect to the internet. It detects your wireless network and logs into nintendos servers (free to use) to find other players to play against.

yes, youd need a copy of the game in order to play it. there are other games too, I know that Animal Crossing is internet capable, and theyre making a Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles sequel that you can adventure with 4 other people with =) in fact, most of the DS games have internet capability. Like Metroid Prime Hunters, is a FPS/Doom style game that you can fight other people online with =)
