Did you really need WoW? I've pretty much lost one firend to it already, and He's like a brother to me. I RARELY saw him for a while. It wasn't untill he had to Write a paper on video game addiction for class(that he last minuted) that he realized how much of a problem it was.
Wow, all this other stuff I updated about and the only thing you comment about in return was about World of Warcraft?
Well dont I just feel loved now. =/
I've also just been very depressed lately and been wanting to hide and be away from people lately... and WoW gives me something to do without moping and wanting to cry all the time. Its helping me get out of my depressive funk by giving me something to focus on. Its also helping me socialize and continue to communicate with people even when I dont want to be around folks at all... so its a good thing right now.
I'll burn out on it eventually, find something else to do and loose interest, like I always do with something new.

I have horde on lightnings blade! and, suramar I think. And a lot of random alliance lowbies that I dont play often >.>
