Lunch time. We haven't gone grocery shopping for a while. So what do I have to say about lunch? Instant noodles are a wonderful thing. They are terrible for you, as they are flash fried, and those lovely little flavor packages are pack with good old monosodium glutamate. what do people have against msg, I dont get it. Its just a tasty salt

I more or less feel the same way. Its basicaly a sodium, whith an amino acid plunked on for good measure, both of which are things your body acutally uses. We like it so much because we crave salt (sodium) and protien (amino acids), and it has both. The biggest problem is how much sodium it adds to food. Too much sodium, in any form, is no good. There is also a general sense that MSG is used as a crutch. That if the food is flavorful enough on its own, and of a good quality, MSG isn't needed. People do tend to use it to disguise inferior food and cover up a lack of quality. Some people are very sensitive to it, and I'm not sure why. I can taste it, and tell when it has been used, but it doesn't make me sick or anything. And I'm a little strange. I have a sensetive palet, which keeps me from using things like cornstarch in puddings, and the like. I don't think most people can even pick it up. Its just taste good, like salt. I know it can be one of the things that trigger migranes in migrane prone people, once again, I don ( ... )

You can buy it in china town, in like 10 different forms. I've even seen it in 50 pound bags.
