My composition teacher is writing me a letter of reccomendation to move me into honors, stating 'your writing is far more advanced than what you'd see in this class.' I was already considered for honors but passed on it so I could get a normal start in college or whatever, and she's concerned I'm not being challenged enough to really learn,

Bravo! I see why she wants you in the advanced class. That story was fantastic! There's a few parts that I'd love to see you expand on some, but it has a rough, tribal feel to it. At first, I thought you were going to be writing a story about how much you hate downstairs neighbors. I was ready to laugh my ass off. Then, you surprised me. Again, well done!

Also, welcome to my private Hell. I get papers like the one you reviewed all the time. I had one girl tell me that she didn't like MLA format, so she had invented her own format that she thought was easier to read. She had stapled the paper together like a book, and I'm pretty sure she then took a shit on the page.
