No college this semester; didn't get the papers in on time because of other shit going on (illness, family, etc.) and while they offered to let me take a debit hit or whatever by signing a promisary note, I didn't like the sound of it. I rather have the money in their hands and not hanging over my head

I still log in to play now and then. I really like the new stuff. It is too bad they had to do PoP/GoD/OoW before these later expansions.

I heard that burst of music on the loading screen and just grinned like an idiot. Saw my old dudes on Tunare, including my paladin with Soulfire, and it was just like 'daaaamn.'

And then was completely and utterly lost and kept crouching everytime I tried to turn right because EQ didn't have WSAD and where am I oh god this is the Bazaar oh god I got my fat troll ass stuck and don't know any commands to get free.

They improved the game a lot, it feels like; I got two levels in an hour where it'd usually take a week. The voice commands are goofy as shit, though. My necromancer sounds like a saturday morning cartoon villain (his laugh is literally 'muah ha ha ha') and my troll warrior sounds like he got fed after midnight.
