I realize as I write this I am probaby the worst example of a "Christian" you could have... at least right now. So don't get it into your head that christians are hypocrits or that Jesus was a phony or whatever... Me? Probably, yea. Just please don't read my posts and think "hey, this chick shouldn't even mention God in her posts because she says

Natalie, I have always thought you were an awesome Christian. Seriously, you do so much. I'm assuming that the "person who wrote that email" doesn't even know you. (Whatever email it was :P )

i just checked through your older entries that i missed. this is the most honest statement i've ever read. and that is something i've always wanted to say. yeah, i love jesus. but life sucks sometimes. and you know what...his did, too. and that's why i love him so much. he hung out with people that nobody respected and he felt something hugely real when God turned away from him. i think a lot of people are going to be surprised when they see God face to face and learn that it's really not about the things we say and do. and thinking that it is is just one more way we've selfishly made life about us.

well said gal, well said. Have you ever read "Blue Like Jazz" by Donald Miller? It's one of the best books i've ever read... Totally about life... Much love gal:0)

Hey. I somehow ended up back here again. I'm going to befriend you, if you don't mind.. I never did end up writing you an email, but I've been wondering how life is going for you lately. (:

I don't know you much (obviously), but you strike me as someone who's real and tells it like it is. You don't find that in everyone, and I think its something worth holding on to. How can we be relevant in this day an age if we don't even know what we believe or who we are? Good on you for trying to work it all out.

And for the record, Jesus wasn't a republican, either. ;)
