So, I've been home for almost a week now, leaving the train at 2am this past Tuesday. Since the last update, I entered California, visited friends in San Francisco and Santa Barbara, and took the train home from Santa Barbara. From PDX to Port Orford has been great. Wonderful weather, met a bunch of cyclists, and amazing scenery. Unfortunately, the past couple days, the scenery has been getting more mundane, I haven't met any cyclists for 2 days, and the forecast is for rain till Thursday. So, i'm in Portland, just dropping a quick update on how the tour's going. So far i've had about half wonderful weather, half terrible rain, but the forecast is for more goodness, and i'd be happy even if it did rain more than most people like. Today my bike is in the shop getting the full tune up. In 2 weeks i should be setting out on the road, just starting my trip. Somehow it doesn't seem like it's happening yet, though. I hate waiting for beans to finish. I started making this chili and boiling the beans so long ago, it's ridiculous. From the base stuff I made on the side with the tomatoes, onions, spices, tvp, should be pretty good once it's all combined, but those damn beans. Been a while, thought it would be good to update this thing with what's been happening lately. At the very moment i'm pretty tired and feel like i'm finally fighting what everybody else has been getting over, so i feel pretty bleh and want to go sleep early tonight. I was passing by the comic shop at the corner earlier this evening when i saw the word "green" on one of their posters. I then had the idea of a superhero comic book team, The Green Gang. Unable to sleep, I wallow in self-pity.

My sleep cycle has been somewhat out of whack lately, getting up early, trouble getting to sleep normally, and, somewhat unusually for me, remembering more of my dreams.
