One of the reasons I really love my apartment, the top floor of a three-decker (three-unit wooden apartment house, for those outside of the northeast US), is that during thunderstorms, the light flashes through the whole place because of the windows on all sides (enhanced because nearly all the windows were just replaced by the landlord

Two things I miss about living in the Pacific Northwest. 1. thunderstorms (VERY rare out here, maybe once or twice a year) and 2. Fireflies.

Yes. We got some awesome thunder & lightning activity out here this evening. I love it. Some thunder actually made the house shake. The boy is mixed about it. I think it both thrills and scares him.

I've been told by Erica I should ask you about your Rabbi Rim story. I probably won't remember next time I actually see you, so here's the request.

Yeah, I like thunderstorms... as long as I'm under shelter. :-)

Mmmm, thunderstorms. Last night's were very cool. My personal favorite is when it's high summer, and it's been deathly hot all day, no air moving anywhere, but you can feel the storm gathering, and then it explodes. :)
