Er, Black Widow is definitely female. She's played by Scarlett Johansson, same as in Iron Man 2.

Yes, I know that. I'm referring to the fact that in the post-credits montage, they show the assembled Avengers and Samuel Jackson says "Gentlemen, you're up." Which, if Black Widow is in the room (I think she was), is a tad weird.
