A community I've been frequenting for the past few users suddenly disappeared. I've been a visitor for entertainment, inspiration, and to awe myself and fellow artists.

I can't believe it's gone. :(

So you and your friend decided to steal it? Way to honor a community you cared for. I have been the sole maintainer of that community for at least three years and decided to delete it, which, if you read the LJ FAQ

...I am well within my rights to do. Now you and...well, my guess is you and YOU because psycho crap like this is usually one person with a million aliases but for the benefit of the doubt let's say you and your "friend" who popped into existence a few days ago decided to steal it. Cute.

Oh, also? I've been frequenting it for the past few uh...users as well. No wait...I've been frequenting it for five YEARS. Except I actually worked at it and kept it looking the way it looked, filtered out the crap, wrote up rules to give it structure and stop in-fighting, commissioned a custom banner and made sure it had a good flow and balance day in and day out and now you and your "friend" whose account is barely a few days old make some fake account and come along and hack it back into existence so you and your pal in the mirror can show that you *care* so much? Please. I've wanted to offer it to at least 10 or more people who CONTRIBUTE and have done so for YEARS to take it over and believe me, you aren't one of them. You're just another lurking leech, as far as I can tell. I don't even know who the hell you are but I do know what people who pull these petty, internet tricks are all about which is basically nothing because you'd have to leave the computer and treat people with some degree of respect even when you are hiding ( ... )
