Two trick-or-treaters just came to my door. The parents were siiting in their car at the curb. Since when do parents chauffeur their children on Halloween. I was inclined to send the children away empty-handed, in response to lazy parenting. Bet they have a DVD player in the car too. I'm not even afraid anymore, I'm reluctantly resigned. You should see the number of kids that roll through best buy on their roller shoes while talking on their cell phones over their blue tooth sterio headphones that they use to listen to their mp3s while they download PSP games from some torrent site in Asia minor, all while lecturing their parents on the superior interface of itunes as compared to windows media player so that they'll drop the extra cash for the 80GB Ipod vidio instead of the creative audio zen. How much can we shorten the attention span in the name of multi tasking before we compleatly fracture the psyche of an entire generation?
