Nikita 2x21 --
I was starting to lose my faith in Percy and then he became of the best GQMF to have ever graced my TV screen. The revelations about Nikita's past and her desperate plans to take in and help re-make Alex makes so much more sense now. But I have a feeling that of course as horrible as Nikita's duplicity has been, the last black box reveals maybe her side of the story?? I don't know but I am excited to see how Operation Sparrow pans out. And poor Michael getting screwed by deciding too late to play Percy's game and Percy noticing the shift in his personality. Michael reminds me of Ned on Game of Thrones so much; they are good, honest soldiers not fit for intrigues and tangled, web of lies. Alex was wrong, she did a far better job than Michael in that respect. And poor angry, broken Alex becoming a pawn, maybe for Percy? I can't tell what she is thinking but the way the ep ended has me salivating for the next one.
Game of Thrones 1x04 --
This was a wonderful set-up episode that really sets up character motivations and events for what is to come next. And what comes next is BAD. I am almost afraid to watch the next ep.
Jon Snow and Samwell's friendship is even more fun for me on screen that in the novels. Its all in the eyes and the body language of the actor who plays Samwell Tarly. He is an excellent choice and I feel like re-reading his parts of the novels now with this actor in mind.
And watching Snow, who is so much like Ned but stronger and wiser to the world become a true Stark, truly fit to lead and inspire men like Brandon Stark is a beauty to behold. But Jon will be better than all of them in the end I feel, if her survives. And I am so in love with the actor and even more in love with Jon in the novels now, once again excellent choice for an actor.
Ok, I secretly ship Jon and Daenerys because those two would rule wonderfully and be amazing together. And Dany is becoming more of a leader and a queen as the eps go buy.
Ok and kudos to George and the casting people for acually finding a true Gregor Clegane. The actor Conan Steven is actually ex military with 12 years of fighting experience and happens to be 7'1" which is insane. I can't wait to see more of the Mountain that rides even though he terrifies me.
And Tyrion continues to own all but that is nothing new and I can't wait to see how he gets himself out this mess.:) As much as I love Littlefinger as a characters and brilliant schemer, I am actually rooting for Tyrion.
NCIS Los Angeles 2x23 Rewatch
I almost feel like deleting my last post except the parts about SB developing partnerships and keeping to his word are still relevant.
He said this season he would cement Deeks as a member of the team; develop Deeks and Kensi’s rapport, put Sam through the ringer, Eric’s role would change and Hetty is the character to watch for this season. And really he has delivered on all promises IMO and this ep also shows the set-up for what he wants for season three: the start of G and Sam’s relationship really developing, Hetty’s role changing and more Kensi reveal.
I also want to note that I don’t get how the one or two fans who assumed that Sam was taking a vacation with his wife missed him telling G towards the ep with a smile and rub, ‘That sail boat is looking pretty good about now huh G’ before the shit hits the fan with Hetty. Or how G assumed he and Sam would do something together? There is too much thought and detail that goes into the Sam and G dynamic, that a little throw away line like ‘trouble in paradise’ that doesn’t even appear to be about Sam would negate all we saw so far.
I plan on re-watching this with ep 24 next weekend together and doing a huge review. But so far, I am really pleased and really happy about the consistency of the characters, their growth and how their past has been handled so far. I think season two set-up a lot of interesting directions for all the characters in season three.
Doctor Who 6x04
This is one of my fave eps so far and requires multiple re-watches because everyone is extra awesome and Idris in human form is love. It was so heartbreaking watching The Doctor cry and Rory feeling anguished and helpless about Idris’s human body dying since he is a nurse and couldn’t help. Season six is my fave so far, it’s so amazing.:)
