Idol final 3
So I watched the results show, and... yeah. Saw it coming. Still not pleased.
Oh, Elliot. You got screwed, buddy, but you're still sweet and you love your mom and really, who can resist that? Also, your singout rocked so much more than your performance night. Why didn't you do that yesterday?
Also, does anyone else seriously doubt those percentage figures? Kat and Elliot being neck and neck, yes, I can buy it, but Taylor leading by barely half a percentage point? I thought for sure his margin was wider than that. He thought so too, going by the look on his face. Fifty million votes, though, half a percentage point is still a damn high number. Too lazy to do the math, but you know, a lot.
Last presidental election: eighteen million votes. American Idol: fifty million. And yes, I realize that's people voting more than one time each, but still. Guess that's how we ended up with President Asshat. If only we had Ryan Seacrest up there on the campaign platform, urging us to "Vote, people! Or your favorite could be eliminated!"
In other news, my third semester has started up, and once it's over I'll be flying to Michigan with my daughters for a week to visit my dad. Flying alone with small children. The closer it gets, the more I wonder what exactly I was thinking.
