Where in the World has Colleen been????

Hello!! (brushing dust off journal!)

I know its been a while since I posted, but I come with lots of info and lots of photos (would you expect anything less???)

So where to begin....

January
There wasn't too much to report on. Work is Work. No complaints at home. Jan was a bunch of birthday celebrations in the family though...Jan 12. So The weekend after her birthday I was going to south jersey for a baby shower anyway so I met up with Tara and took her out shopping at Libby Lu! According to her-its the "pink store".

Anyway, let me backup. On Jan 14 I went to my friend's daughter (who I actually used to babysit so she is more like a little sis) baby shower. It was weird b/c she is so young still-she just turned 18 and is still in school but she seems to have her head in the right frame of mind and going to do well. She actually just had her baby yesterday but I will post that later!

Here are some pics from the shower:

me and her sister

my brother and the mom to be(its NOT his kid-they are just friends too and I dragged him to the shower)

After the shower, I met up with my sister to pick up my niece and take her out. Here are some pics from our evening at the mall and Libby Lu....

Libby Lu is a young girls place where they get make overs and make stuff and stuff like that. Tara picked to make her own lotion, shower gel and perfume. Here she is mixing her stuff together.

After she makes her stuff she gets her make over. They have some specific hair styles they choose from and they their hair is done and their make up and they get some sort of accessory depending on the hair styles they choose. She picked the drama queen hair style which comes with sun glasses but didn't like the glasses so she ended up getting the rock star headset as her accessory.

And then we started looking around for her to pick out a present. She ended up picking two poodles. She picked one then said "can I have two things?" and I asked why and she said it was because there was two poodles she couldn't decide between.

After Libby Lu we went to Friendly's for dinner-she got to choose!

We saw someone else get a birthday treat and she got excited so I asked the waitress if they would sing too and they did-and brought her her dessert.

Then as she started to eat her dessert her VERY loose tooth started to fall out-she was trying to push it with her tongue but couldn't get it so she let me help her and it came right out! then we called her mom to let her know. She said that the first time her tooth came out it was when she was eating popcorn and now that her tooth came out she didn't have to worry that night at the movie theater (I was dropping her off to meet a friend for a movie and sleep over after our dinner)

After Friendly's we took some pics of her whole ensemble in the mall!

And here we are in Libby Lu. We actually went back and got a small box to put her tooth in (ben's cousin's girlfriend works there so she hooked us up with a small gift box!)

January was also our friend Eric's birthday, so in tune with the normal range of events, we went to dinner. We all went to Macaroni Grill and had a nice dinner. Here are a few pics:
Here is M and J son who is almost a year (he shares a birthday with ben)

More of the cute one...

And ben and  I

The next big January event was the birthday parties for Tara and my grandfather and Owen (our ring bearer/nephew) Owen turned 4, Tara 6 and my grandfather 84! And these parties of course mean photos of Dylan too! He is growing up quickly and becoming quite the little boy!

Here is Tara helping my brother to set the table.

Here she is with Dylan. She is blocking the door to keep him from going outside and so in the second pic it shows him grabbing her because he wanted to try and pick her up and move her! A little ambitious...

After the excitement at my grandmothers house for their birthdays, I had to rush over to Chucky Cheese to meet Ben for Owen's birthday (ben was working earlier!)

By the time Chucky Cheese was over, Ben and I were ready to go home.

On sunday of 2 weekends ago when all this excitement was, I worked on my Vegas scrapbook and finished it. I will try to take some pics and post later. The next day I woke up with a nasty stomache virus that both Laura and I apparently caught from my cute little niece who had it on friday! I stayed home from work til thurs so I wasnt online much last week and so I am still trying to catch up this week from all that!

This past weekend we didn't do anything too exciting but we did of course watch the superbowl-YEAH Steelers! I did enjoy the game and my friend was there so he and I kept text messaging throughout the game then he tried to call after it. He said he brought us all back hats but they are at his friends house for now-i will get a pic when I get it.
I did like commercials. I know a lot of people were disappointed but compared to the last few years I really thought they were better. Compared to a few years ago when they were much better-no one has reached that level yet. My faves were all the budwiser ones, especially the "magic fridge" and the klidsdale ones.
Here is a pic of us from sunday (and yes we are wearing our eagles jerseys in anticipation of next year!):

In other news....we decided to not have a party for our birthdays but instead go to Atlantic City for the weekend. We are going to stay at the Taj Mahal and then meet a bunch of our friends and family (whoever wants to meet us) at the Hard Rock Cafe and then gambling if they want! We are excited b/c it will be a nice weekend getaway-not too far but still away. And I took off friday and monday so I will get a long weekend:)

I am looking forward to the Olympics starting this weekend so I can see Rossy city!

Other than that nothing too exciting going on...how is everyone else??
