Just a quick status update. I haven't been on LJ lately but I am doing much better now. At the moment, I don't have a lot of energy so I'm restricting my activities to ones that have priority, which currently is related to the publishing of The EmpireApart from working on my health, improving my diet and slowly increasing my exercise level, I've ( Read more... )

Hey I was just about to ask how you were. I look forward to starting up an lj community for your books XD

I'm well but crazy-busy with work and so have much less online time than I did what with driving lessons and trying to sew stuff. I'm currently plotting a story/rpg thing with some RL friends too which has dragged me in. Mab utterly adores it though so she is happy. Btw, I showed them Reya and Argus' wedding (beautiful, beautiful vows) and am trying to get them to watch B7 so they can read your fanfic.

Good luck on the editing and writing. I'm glad you're feeling better. I've been trying to improve my diet and exercise level too but stupid frosty roads are making it difficult to walk in mornings and I eat waaaay too much chocolate. :-) *glomps* It's so nice to hear from you.

I have a cheerful Kaylee-like firework maker, a snarky spymaster and her assistant and a cool dressmaker as characters. Lots of fun and a nice range of different ages and personalities.

Also the spymaster has two cats lol. One of them I swear takes lessons from Mab.

Who's the publisher?

It's a small publisher based out of the US called, IFWG Publishing.

How much are they paying you? I've got two friends that are pros. One with Baen the other with Roc.

This is a fairly new publisher. About a year or so old, so there was no advance. But they are paying for all the expenses incurred in bringing a book to print and the advertising.
