why does my textbook think it's okay to mention a formula and not explicitly tell me how to do it? why? A vague description of how to do it hidden away at the very end of the section. VERY USEFUL. I wish we had time to have this explained in class... because I don't know what the heck this is >_>. Oh well, going on vague clues then.

Did your prof write the textbook? Some of my profs did and those textbooks were specifically *cough* designed for their curriculum. ^^;;

Nah, he didn't write it @_@ but I figured it out... I knew what to do, just not how the variables were set up and the wording could be interpreted in different ways.
