Tonight I was driving to get some groceries after leaving school when I noticed that the low oil light was on. This had been going on for about a day, but I had kept forgetting, so I decided that I would just put in the half quart of oil I had sitting in my trunk when I stopped at the grocery store ( Read more... )

It is amusing now that it's the next day. Will be finally scheduling it for that oil change it's overdue on. It's been so long since I've had to put oil in this car that I forgot where the dipstick is...

The car's not damaged (I think), it was just 225,000 miles worth of road dust and old oil burning off. I am also fine and will be buying a fire extinguisher as soon as I remember to do so.

It was a small fire, only about the size of my hand. There was more smoke. It's almost funny now that I've had some time between now and last night.
