I got involved in the whole 'twitterverse' thing a few months ago now. At first, it was fun. I loved tuning in several times a day to catch up in 140 characters with what was going on in the minds and world of people I know--and some whom I don't know--from all over the world. Yeah, it is easy to be misunderstood in 140 characters. Today was a good example of that. Not on your part but on the other that upset our fellow Twitterer.

I'm, personally, not on Twitter and never plan to be. Me constrain my thoughts to 140- characters? Hello, writer here! Besides, what's the difference in Twitter updats and your FB status? Aren't they essentially the same thing. Aside from that, I prefer my conversations to have substance to them, kthx.

It is exactly the same thing as a facebook status which makes it perfect for announcing a new release, or posting a quote of the day etc.

I do think that Twitter is a good tool in those respects, but for real communication, try a face to face conversation. :)
