i don't think it's selfishness, because you know that she wants to know your kids, too. i mean, it goes both ways, you know? and not just your kids, she wants to know you two a whole lot longer also.

it is so obvious to me how amazingly proud she is of both of you, and how she's amazed, and awed by the wonder of her fabulous children. she's so enthralled with where you're going.

as for your wish for no bodies, i'm still thinking about that one. i definitely see your point. you could add "no gender" to your list (which maybe you meant, already, in "no body image problems"). but i just don't know for sure. there's something i relish about how performing this weekend is going to leave me sore, bruised, and bone-tired. i guess i have the privelege of saying that, because i don't suffer from any serious ailments or other body difficulties . . .
