I just went on Facebook and "friended" all the new first years in Chapin. I'm very excited and curious about meeting them. hey kate!
I'm looking forward to going back to Smith too, time away makes me realize even more how amazing the place is. Also, I'm just looking forward to ditching this boring office job with weird hours. How is your summer going? We have a lot of catching up to do, but I will see you pretty soon! cheers, Annie

yes, "abscence makes the heart grow fonder" really applies to Smith. it's crazy how much catching up we have to do, it's going to be fantastic fun to "unpause" all my smith friendships. that's what it feels like to me, we got close at the end of sophomore year and then we hit the pause button and scattered across the world. well, now we get to let the good times roll on the 2nd floor of chapin!

my summer has been good. i'm doing menial office work tasks at the ACLU of Oregon and getting excited about my brother's chest surgery in San Francisco in one week.

what day are you arriving back at smith? i'm hoping to do central check in the morning of the 5th.

you're so right about the unpause-what a good way to put it. and so exciting to resume. anyway, the aclu sounds awesome, and san fran with your brother sounds like a good break from menial tasks.
im not quite sure when im going back to smith. im aiming for the 5th in the evening, but i might not make it untli the 6th, cause i get back from visiting a friend in minnesota on the 4th. but yes, not soon enough. ;)
