musings on becoming a SAHM (stay at home mom)

i was just talking to jon about this last night, so i've been thinking about it a lot today.  before i quit my job, i was pretty fearful about how we were going to manage (mostly financially, somewhat mentally) with just one income/one of us working.  now that we're a few months in, i've found that it's actually a more enjoyable state of existance ( Read more... )

Would you have any interest in being connected with the rental property owner who I used to do part-time at-home admin tasks for when I was unemployed? He's super nice, and the work is simple. I priced interior decorators for him, collected resumes for a handyman job he was filling, did a bit of data entry. I worked between 6 and 10 hours a week (usually closer to 6), and I never had to set foot out of the house. The money helped. I don't know if he's got someone new doing it, but if you're interested I could ask.

(He and his wife have a toddler so he totally understands the whole baby workload thing.)

Sounds good. You've confirmed a lot of what I suspected in regards to doing this myself. My current decision is not to make a decision yet. I've founf it immensely stress reducing thus far.
