My birthday was last month, but I was in Japan, so I did not have time to do my traditional SPN Birthday Rewatch! So I did it today. For this rewatch, I've been watching whatever Supernatural episode is closest to Sam and Dean's birthdays, for the age I am turning

Latecomers never realized the bitten fingernail waiting each season till we heard SPN had been picked up for another season, and the first four seasons were really iffy. In S1E22, not only did we not know what happened after fade to black, we didn't know if we'd ever find out, if the show was cancelled.
But as you say, watching show to show built a certain kind of tension that couldn't be reproduced by binge watching. And episodes watched out of the brackets of that season's run always have some small thing, some transition, some foreshadowing detail we (I) missed in its season run. It was a good show.
Also, hello. Good to see you here.

idk, I feel like mini golf and golf are very different things (as are golf and movies about golf--gold comedies definitely feel like motel TV fare to me). Mini golf reads epically kitschy to me, whereas when I think about golf I think about, idk, yacht clubs and the like. But a lot of people definitely agree with you re: Claire! I think it doesn't help that Kathryn Newton (I think that's her name) is not necessarily the most developed actor, haha.

Happy Bleated Birthday! Glad you still managed to squeeze in your SPN birthday squee-fest. It really is weird to think the show was actually popular and watched by 'normal' non obsessed folk.
Japan though... I so want to go back and visit for longer than the few days we had back in 2007 - wow so long ago now.

I hope you get to go back to Japan, too! Definitely worth more than a few days. I already want to go back, and I haven't even finished going through my photos, etc. from this trip, hahaha. (I've been loving your recent travel photos/updates!!)
