Someone said that thirteen was their lucky number, and I've heard that before. But so far as I can tell, it's not for any good reason. They weren't born on the thirteenth, they don't have thirteen moles in an elaborate pattern of arcane significance, they were not rescued when they were thirteen days old by a baker's dozen of clumsy but lovable ( Read more... )

Now you make me wonder ... do MOST people have a lucky number, but they just don't ever make the connection? It would be funny if someone's lucky number were 568, consistently, but they just never noticed.

Well, back when my great-great-grandmother was young, the last thirteen Greak Auks laid a geas upon her which has been handed down through the generations...

I can't get into details, but when they shine the Auk symbol over Gotham, I gotta go.
