There is absolutely no evidence linking presence of badgers to tuberculosis in cattle. It is the badgers who get infected by the cows, not the other way around. What is the point of declaring a species protected if the government at regular intervals decide to exterminate them? It's just a text-book approach to create imbalanced ecosystems.
