Half a billion dollars for an adamantium endoskeleton? I remember when bionic replacements for nearly every part of your body only cost 6 million.

It's the economic crisis.. There isn't much of a demand for bling these days, so they aren't able to increase the production of shiny skeletons to make the price go down.

That is probably it. It's a pity that we live in a world where only governments can afford to make indestructible super-soldiers.
