Well I just got finished the latest Michael Crichton adapted movie "Timeline" it was certainly an entertaining premise, the science is a little fuzzy and the culture is a lot fuzzy but aside from that it was an entertaining flick. I got to the book store today picked up some good books that I had not realized were out in paperback, nice to see ( Read more... )

So what did you get?

I myself am out of new books atm (postponing buying any until just b4 I head out there), so I'm forced to re-read a few series and read some books my parents bought (we do share some of the same taste in books at least).

I think that I came up with a good character idea for the LaSangre game, (if I can ever make it to one) going to run it by Cory later this week and see what he says as well as get some more info on the game from him.

I might also have one for G, and I'll talk to you guys about it when I see ya.

I havent found a good one for a while, borders, barnes, nothing. It sucks. Tho I have acquired and am reading the ANNOTATED Chronicles of Dragonlance. Almost to the end of the second "Book". Its been a very enjoyable re-read, with the annotations and the length from which I last read this trilogy. I also have waiting the annotated Legends series too.

Peace out Bubba

Yeah, I did really enjoy the Jim Butcher and Simon R. Green stuff. I might also recommend John Ringo, Eric Flint, David Weber, and David Drake. Hell for the most part I would recommend most of the authors and books published by Baen publishing. Good luck on the hunt and when I get back in town we will have a pow wow and get you on the path of happiness. late

Well truthfully Im not a big Sci-fi fan specifically I am mostly fantasy. Tho I have read Dan Brown Davinci Code (its 7am spelling is not on the top of my list) and my wife and others have read the rest of the books and cant stop talking about them. I also have the full lord of the rings and hobbit hard back editions waiting as well. I have a friend who is in a scifi fantasy book club and can keep me well fed that way lol ( ... )

Hi my name's Andy and I'm a bookaholic... faultline74 April 22 2005, 21:51:33 UTC
lol

Ive read everything on that list, plus a lot, lot more (I've been reading voraciously since I was 13)

I prefer Sci-FI, and Fatasy with some Horror and some Fiction to round out my reading. I'm very picky when it comes books, if the synopsis doesnt catch my attention most likely I'll never read it unless someone else with similar tastes to myself recommends it.

I've always found it hard to put down a good book with one exception and that book was so mind boggling that I had to set it aside for about a year until I was ready to finish it.

Hmmm pow wow sounds good, maybe I should start compiling my suggestions now. I wonder if I have enough hard drive space though....

Well its good to see you have a rounded out collection and reading habit. :) I also have been reading since junior high. I started with Peirs Anthony and then a friend got me hooked on Dragonlance. Been reading ever since. Sci-fi's usually have to be recommended as well. I have read a few i loved, and few that were Blegh. I also like historical fantasy - Arthurian Tales, mostly medival type stores Braveheart, Gladiator, shit like that.

So Im going to post a question on my journal that is very linked to this topic. Mainly I need to spark some interest on my journal. LOL
