Abby... and Abigail

Abby continues to settle in. I had a bit of a panic about her not eating enough, but that seems to be improving, and anyway I'm told that she previously ate more biscuits than wet food, so she may be confused that I keep offering wet food. Though she does appear to ask for it. She's still eating lots of biscuits, and most of the wet food ( Read more... )

Many nose-kisses to Abby! Delightful photos.

I recently watched Maid of Salem and found that... not too remarkable, but Bonita Granville gave a really powerful performance as the girl character (called Ann in that version, I think). They really emphasised the thing about the girls needing attention there as well, even if it was a bit of a meh movie apart from Bonita (who was thirteen at the time of filming). The casting was really odd and I couldn't really believe Claudette Colbert and Fred MacMurray as the types of faces you'd see in a place like that, but damn, Bonita was good.

Probably Ann Putnam, the daughter of Thomas and Ann Putnam (though she's renamed Ruth in Miller's play to avoid confusion with her mother). I know you will forgive me for not commenting on the second Abby - I really can´t discuss what I don´t know at all.
But YOUR Abby! It is really very nice to read about how she has settled with you, especially about the affection towards your lap.She is really such a lovely cat. I have already mentioned that her head was very alike my Tygr - but she is actually "marble" , not tabby. Now your household is complete with your new companion and I wish you lovely and cuddly moments together. Mňau!

There are several tabby patterns - the stripey sort sometimes called "mackerel", the classic marbled tabby, etc etc. Abby's quite like my Thomas, but without his white paws!

Here's today's photo, on the sofa - she was sulking because I was cooking and wouldn't come to her...

Thank you! She's probably six or seven, so fingers crossed we have plenty of time together.
