Mancunicon

It's a fortnight since Mancunicon so if I'm ever to get anything down about it I'd better do it now. But I haven't a lot of time, so I'm not sure that I'll manage much more than brief comments on the things I remembered to photograph.

because on Thursday I went off to serve my true master, the Head of Ops, cobrabay.

Just so long as he didn't say "I am the Master, and you will obey me".

Any special reason why bees? (They have Corpuscular overtones, of course, but I don't suppose that's what they had in mind.)

I'm afraid I haven't said very much about the con programme, but then I very rarely get round to the con programme, and when I do I keep falling asleep. But it's working on Ops that I enjoy best.

Ah, so the Large Millimetres are yours! I did wonder when they mentioned New Mexico. They also had a model of a whole field of telescopes (an array, presumably). And they gave me a beermat with a nice picture of a galaxy on it.

The actual array is in Chile, but it's operated by the same organization.

It was a fine con indeed, and I greatly appreciated staying with you on the Sunday night because I got to drink multiple pints of beer (very rare for me these days).
