What a lovely story, and I love the ending. It was a nice glimpse into what the guys might have been like before we see them in the movies! Thanks for sharing. :-)

LOL - the oddest things can be warm and fuzzy with these two, can't they? Thanks for the compliments, I'm glad you enjoyed it! :)

Very nice touch, about Donald not going to the hospital because of lack of insurance. I would never have thought of that.

I second that -- smart little detail that adds to the authenticity of the whole thing. Nicely done.

*laughs* You know, it occurs to me that after a few years with Donald, Timmy would have amassed a skill set that is strikingly unusual for most political aides. Can't you see that job interview?

"Well, I have a degree in political science and law with a minor in public relations. I graduated summa cum laude from Georgetown. I can organize a fundraiser for 300 in less than 3 weeks, provide reliable analysis of social trends, turn out accurate polls and surveys, clean minor gunshot wounds, get blood out of a mattress and tell you four ways to incapacitate an intruder with a rubber spatula."

Oh, man. I really enjoyed this story.

A rubber spatula?!? Where in the world did that come from? LOL!!

That comes from Timmy's reticence to handle weapons of any sort. I think Donald would have tried to teach him how to use someone more . . . weapon like and when the moment came, Timmy would have just grabbed whatever came to hand and thrown it. *laughs*

Glad you liked it! And yeah, I can only imagine the small talk that proper little Tim could make that would make his proper society friends blanch. And Donald would be smiling proudly (and smugly)! ;)
