You know, for all that Donald sometimes lets things drop by the wayside, I can see this being one area where he is all over it like white on rice. Anything to protect Timmy.

That was lovely and touching!
Like most of folks Donald tends to to put the thought of his own mortality to the back of his mind, but he loves Timmy too much to ignore this issue completely.
And I loved the way you introduced Kelly into this story.Of course she and Tim can't just smoothly go on with each other as if nothing had ever happened between them.They both try, but they need their time and you conveyed that great.
I really love the way you explore your characters.
