Lol, If I'd known you hadn't seen Cabaret I'd have made you watch it! Joel Gray is totally your kind of guy, and Cabaret is definitely not like the classic movie musicals. Alan Cumming as the MC is also pretty great. I've seen a performance that the two of them did together that was fabulous. I think it was on Youtube.

I don't know if you follow Amanda Palmer (of the Dresden Dolls) much, but she's currently starring as the Emcee in a production of Cabaret in Boston. If I was rich enough to jet across the country on a whim, I'd go to that show in a heartbeat.
