Having dad home for my birthday Friday was awesome, but very tiring for mom. She's working on convincing the VA that he doesn't need to do two more home visits, as the lack of all of the equipment was a huge hassle and things took way more physical effort to work through. Dad was so exhausted from it, he was still wiped out Sunday and couldn't stay

I'm glad your dad came home from a visit, and that your mom has a better idea of what is needed for him to come home longer. I hope she succeeds with the VA!

Yay for getting psych approval (not that there was any doubt!) and for things progressing nicely. And if you can teach Mr. Cooper to ring a bell for you, then you can make journalling a habit!
