That means I'm probably going to be paying approx. $40,000 a year, for two years. I'm still waiting to hear from Purdue, who seems to have decided to take their sweet, sweet ( Read more... )

Is it possible to find a job that will pay for your Master's? I know that works with a lot of business--not sure about sociology though.

I'd have to agree with Matt on that one. That was the first thought that popped into my head. Possibly see what full time work you can get with your current credentials. (Have you done any research actvities at all while at school that might be a good resume booster?) If you get a good employer, often they're willing to pay for Masters work in the field of employment, either footing the bill of a class or two per semester, or partial reimbursement. Perhaps you could delay grad school for a bit while finding a job that supports that, or else work full time for a while, and then go back whne you've paid off some loans and can take out more.

You can always use your money scheming skills to devise a wicked plan. You are Greek. You can con anything out of anyone. ;-)

Is there a job for sociology? The only jobs out there are for those that have at least a master's degree. Sociology is more academic than a business degree, so unless I do peace corps or something like that, it's recommended that I go straight on to grad school.

As for being Greek, I am well aware ;p I guess I'll have to open up a resteraunt or something to pay for my grad school...gyros, anyone?
