Over Labor day weekend, i drove up to san fransisco. On my way up, my car started making this really loud noise, and after stopping briefly to make sure i could make it the whole way, finally got to san fransisco and took my car immediately to the Honda Dealer.

You should be pissed. That's not cool. I'd say take the parts to several Honda dealers. And if you can get bad experiences from people (I know my brother had one once), maybe you can work on setting up a website and placing ads on Google and that kind of thing. That's where to start. From there, depending on what happens, maybe you can see about contacting other car dealers, etc, because I think the things like that need a base to launch from, you know? Establish the issue some before trying to get certain entities involved.

So sometime sophomore year, I took my car to the VW place to get "winterized" or whatever. About a week after I got it back the battery died. Not died as in it could be jump-started, died like I had to get it towed to the dealer to get it looked at. I said to them that it was working fine before they serviced it, and asked them (politely) what the fuck they did to my car. They had a look at it, said it was a shoddy battery, and replaced it. I had to pay them several hundred dollars for that. Fast-forward a few months, and I dove back to Raleigh and got on a plane to go to London. While I was gone, the battery died again. Bill's Tahoe, plugged up to my car for like half an hour could not revive it. So dad took it down to the gas-station down the street (the good one that does inspections and all sorts of other shit) and they said that THE WRONG BATTERY was put in my car. The WRONG battery put in my car by the goddamned dealer! There wasn't really anything we could do about it, what with the car being back in NC and all that ( ... )

Have you thought of contacting a local nightly news watchdog program? Or a national one if this is a common problem with carmax. That would be my suggestion.
