Uh. Holy crap. The Orioles are in the playoffs. May not know for a few days if it's as a wild-card team (and thus certain values of "in the playoffs") or winning the division, but whoa. Last time this happened, I was a junior in college. I have memories of doing homework in the dorm lobby while watching the games. My grades may have suffered

Bravest and I have taken to calculating what it will take to get the Red Sox solidly in the bottom 10, so as to be able to draft a top prospect without giving up a pick. So far, we're a lock for ninth from the bottom, but we may fall as low as seventh!

But they need to win the rest of their games to knock the Yankees down. ;)

I'd really hoped for the Jays to do better this year, but they all got injured and the team fell apart. It's good to see the O's getting a turn in the sun, though! I really hope they beat out the Yankees and get a real solid series; it'd be about time. ^^

There are only so many injuries from which a team can bounce back; sadly, four-fifths of the starting rotation going down is generally not one of them. ^^; Hopefully they'll do better next season.

In the meantime, I'm hoping for more than just one postseason game. Losing last night didn't help in that respect, but I have faith that we can pull off winning the rest of the series.
