OMG! Let's just teach people to kill themselves.
Well today I just about choked on lunch. It had nothing to do with the food or eating too fast. Rather it had to do with my flipping onto Discovery Channel to see what they had on while I ate. Interesting day on the Net
This turned into a very interesting day of Internet use. I did a Google search for picture I wanted for a new LJ icon. I use WOT as well as Norton Safe Web so I usually get at least one telling me a site is safe before I click on the thumbnail. Well not once but three times today that failed ( Read more... ) -
It's over, way too soon
This post should have been made a couple weeks past but really I was just not able to do it then. The combination of emotions and having to deal with all the work needing to be done for Easter wouldn't let me get the words together.

It's Show Time
Right now the US Marines are about to kick some Taleban butt. From news reports Marines along with British and Afghan troops are going to take Marjah and make a double score by doing so. The Clock Is Running
If all goes well this will be my last post from Navy Station Norfolk. As of yesterday, at 1400, I began Terminal Leave. In short that means I'm on my paid vacation following my deployment. I am to report to my NOSC on Friday (not a good day to do it but that's what my orders say) and after that I'm on vacation until August 23. This happen very ( Read more... ) -
I'm comin' home, I've done my time...
Today I had my final doctors appointment at RCC (Reserve Component Command) Med Hold in Norfolk and I am now in the 'Out Processing' phase of my demob. Basically this means I get transferred back to NMPS (Navy Mobilization Process Site) who will then send me back to my NOSC (Naval Operational Support Center) to sign some papers and demobilize back ( Read more... )
