by justice... the machinations of the court, not a guaranteed conviction. And in that sense she is absolutely correct; those who essentially served as plaintiffs and witnesses were deprived of the chance to participate in those machinations whatever their outcome may have been.
High profile war criminals like Milosevic -- Pinochet, for instance? - walked after trial despite mountains of evidence. I had no doubt that this one would do the same.
And don't get me wrong either; I am no apologist for the international bureaucracy nor am I a fan of it.

Agreed. As well, she was the chief Prosecutor... her job was always to present evidence against him. So it hardly makes the trial a "circus" because she expressed sympathy for Milosevic's victims well within her role.
