I miss my great-grandmother and have done so for a long time. I don't think she knew how much she meant to me and I am heartbroken about that

this is a really really tough thing. I don't have any good answers. For me, I have just had to think about how I can live my life in a way that honors the people whom I miss so much. But I don't always succeed. Everyone has a different "language of love"--how they show that they love someone else, or feel that someone else loves them. For some people it's food, for others it's cleaning your kitchen for you, for your parents it might be the pride they feel in seeing you establish yourself as an independent adult. It's not always easy to figure this out, but if you can, you're at least partway there (the other part is acting on your discovery ...)
I know how you feel. I miss my maternal grandparents. Very much. But I am lucky that I'll be seeing the rest of my family soon.
And I know how you feel with the not being able to express stuff thing. I can't do grief. I have no idea how to handle it and end up just feeling totally awkward trying to help or fix things. And I'm sure they end up feeling awkward too since I feel awkward and then we're just a giant mass of awkward feelings and its....well, awkward. o_O;;
But I think people always know how much you care. I mean, at least family does. They have some....hidden connection or something. At least that's what I've noticed.
In less seriousness what does "pantsed" mean? You typed it in your previous entry I assume it's the same as "pissed" is here...thought doesn't "pissed" mean drunk there? Oh my slang is such a wonderful part of a language. xD
Well it's not even that I'm not very good at expressing myself, it's trying to express myself in a way that doesn't embarrass them that is really difficult.
I think you mean "pantsed", pants without the ed. Pants means crap/shite, in the way that you would say, "that was absolute fucking shite", you can also say "that was absolute pants". Pissed does mean drunk. I don't think there's a "pantsed", but we could always start using it and it'll be trendy slang in no time XD
Btw, I think we should meet up in Japan next summer for a Jrock festival! How wicked would that be.
hum, very interesting. If I said "that's total pants!" my friends would be like "wtf is wrong with you? o_O" I think that's the most different slang I have heard for a while.
But I like the idea of making "pantsed" a trendy new word. hahaha.
I also like the idea of a jrock festivle. And if I found a way to save or get enough money for that I would totally be there. Especially if there happened to be a Going Under Ground concert at that time and a Deg concert. I think that would be like the ideal/dream combination for me. =P I would probably faint many times from shear happiness and you would end up having to lug me around the whole time cause I would be in a state of perpetual bliss. xDD
