I really hope Grandpa is able to fully recover and move back to River Court, too. It makes me all worried thinking about it.

Hmmm...not sure what to tell you about Crystal Chronicles. I'm pretty sure you can only have one person in your party because if you create another character they just sort of hang out in the town (even though you can't see them...) I did this so I could have other people to buy things from at "home" like the blacksmith or whatever. I don't really remember...I think your best bet is going to be to try and coordinate with your Mog...like making sure he's painted the right color so you can do the combination magic or whatever. Sorry! I really don't remember that game too well
