Fandom: Pandora Hearts
Ratings/Warnings: G.
Summary: The endless pursuit of being the best you can be.
Author's Note: All I could think about when I saw 'drive' was Reim XD;; I hope this turned out alright...I'm kind of worried about it.

My day begins at five in the morning, along with the first members of the household to wake. I walk the halls to make sure the bootboys are doing their jobs, setting out freshly polished footwear for the valets and maids that are scheduled to be awake shortly thereafter. If my itenerary calls for it, I make sure that any small repairs that need be done to the household fixtures are done to the standards to which Duke Barma would expect, and lastly, before the head butler takes his post, I update the day's schedule where it hangs -- according to my expectations -- in plain view in the main hallway of the servants' quarters.

With that completed, the next stops are the stables, the gardens, the kitchens, the library, and my own personal office. All stops to be made and inspected before quarter to six.

I will remain in my personal office updating and balancing the household's accounts and reviewing the orders placed by the heads of each different section of the staff until quarter past seven, at which point I make my way to the main dining room and attend my Master through breakfast, briefing him on his day's appointments. If he has no meetings, I take my leave when he finishes his meal -- always at two minutes past eight, precision I have always greatly admired -- and return to my office to carry on my personal work until eight thirty, at which point I engage the services of one of the smaller carriages in the stableyard to take me to Pandora, where my day truly begins at nine.

If my own schedule does not require me to be back at the Barma manor earlier, I remain at the administrative offices at Pandora until six o'clock, with fifteen minute breaks scheduled for meals at nine thirty, twelve o'clock sharp, and five fifteen, courtesy of the commissary available to the members of staff who remain within the main building. The duties I am required to perform while there are unpredictable at best, thanks in no small part to the utter unpredictability of Xerxes Break and the group that seems to gravitate around him. My second carriage ride of the day returns me to the Barma manor, where I make another set of quick rounds before making sure that preparations for my Master's dinner -- to be taken twenty minutes after the conclusion of his own day's work -- are going as scheduled, and that the tableware and table cloths are all properly clean and presented. I wait on my Master personally throughout the meal, making note of any orders he may have for me for the forseeable future, and excuse myself from his company when he dismisses me, returning to my office to finish my day's quota of work.

From the hours of ten to eleven, my office is open to any member of the staff that has a greviance or request to make. From eleven to eleven thirty I make note of any that need Duke Barma's personal approval. And finally, at eleven forty-five I close and lock my office doors to return to my personal chambers and ready myself for sleep by midnight.

Before I drift off to sleep, I take a moment to still my mind, in order to make the most of my time of rest. I put aside the bustle of the day, setting everything but the warm feeling of accomplishment my work has filled me with and the enjoyment I get from doing what I can to serve my Master and help all of my friends at Pandora.

My last thought before I fall asleep is always that the dawn will bring a new day in which I will again do everything in my ability to make their lives that much easier.

I may never be able to hunt down rogue Chains, or catch illegal contractors, but I have made a vow to myself that I will become the very best at doing what I can. And every day, in every way, I will become better and better.
