ICE CREAM
Summer days in L.A. were more sultry than they had any right to be. Vicky was visiting again, and her suggestion of ice cream met with resounding approval from Lawr. So after Adrian scooped out two cones for his most darling children, the three of them gathered on the front porch to allow Wolfy some proper basking time.

The ice cream was melting too quickly in the intense sun.

"Lawr, there's some on your nose!" Vicky laughed.

Lawr crossed his eyes and wrinkled his nose, trying to see the offending food. "There is?"

Adrian chuckled and leaned closer to Lawr, taking up the edge of his own shirt sleeve to wipe the white spot away from his nose. Lawr's gaze met Adrian's, and the boy smiled sweetly.

Neither realized how long they'd been staring until Vicky giggled again.

"Ew, mushy..."

AlleyAdrian could feel the boy's eyes on his retreating back. He had to run, had to get away, had to put as much distance as possible between himself and his sin. If he ran fast enough, perhaps he could outpace his anxiety. But his

Wait. I just realized that I completely failed on the whole including a kiss part. Well. That will teach me to write when I'm exhausted.
