Watching the birds

Kei has always loved bird watching; I've never really understood it. But I bought her a feeder a month or two back and set it up in the backyard. Since then we've seen a large variety of different birds in our backyard, and I think I'm starting to understand. It's a lot of fun watching them and identifying them. goldfinch, not canaries. :) If you have canaries, I AM SO THERE!!

I find the seed you use makes a huge difference in the kind of birds you get. I am using this stuff from Agway that's really great. I select seed without cracked corn if I can get it, since it seems none of my denizens like it.

We also have neighborhood cats. :( :(

I don't know why I thought canaries haha. I fixed it though. I DID know it was goldfinches. I'm new to this watching the birds thing. >.>
